Roof shell
The fiberglass plastic shell is manufactured using the modern injection process. This process produces components with a high surface quality - even without paint, the roof is a sight to behold. Flexible solar modules can also be easily mounted on the smooth surface, with hardly any change to the vehicle height. The foam core inside the roof shell has an insulating effect.
Fabric bellows and window
The SCA 292 pop-up roof differs from the other roof variants in a number of ways. The standard panoramic fabric bellows is made of polyester. The mattress is higher than in other SCA models and provides additional comfort in addition to the slatted frame and disc springs. The bed construction with disc springs and permeable fabric cover also has the advantage that it allows the warm heating air to pass upwards in vehicles with auxiliary heating, so that the bed is pleasantly warm even in winter. The roof is also around eight kilograms lighter than the other roof variants.
Liegefläche
Für Komfort beim Liegen sorgt ein Lattenrost mit zusätzlichen Tellerfedern. Diese gewährleisten auch die bestmögliche Belüftung und im Winter bei Fahrzeugen mit Standheizung ein warmes Bett. Die Matratze selbst besteht wie immer bei SCA aus hochwertigem Schaumstoff. Die Durchstiegsluke wird mit einem Einschubmodul verschlossen. Ohne großen Kraftaufwand lässt sich der Schließbügel bedienen. Dieser ist praktischerweise multifunktional und kann auch als Kleiderbügel oder Befestigungsmöglichkeit für Beleuchtung oder ein iPad oder Tablet genutzt werden. Die extrahohen Aufstellscheren ermöglichen es, mit dem Kopf sowohl in als auch gegen die Fahrtrichtung zu schlafen. Auch die Füße freuen sich dabei über mehr Platz. Wer die Liegeeinrichtung nach oben klappt, kann im Fahrzeug bequem aufrecht stehen.
Verschlusssystem
Das Dach ist mit dem neuentwickelten Schließmechanismus SCA-Express-Lock ausgestattet. Neben einem verbesserten Design bietet dieser ein Plus an Sicherheit und ist einfach zu bedienen. Bei Schließen der Dachschale zieht ein praktischer Einklappmechanismus den Stoffbalg automatisch nach innen, sodass er nicht zwischen Karosserie und Dach eingeklemmt werden kann.
