To turn the Ford Tourneo Custom or the Transit Custom with a long wheelbase into the perfect leisure vehicle, the SCA 127 roof not only offers sleeping comfort with disc springs but also provides plenty of additional space thanks to its high lifting struts.

Roof Shell

The fiberglass-reinforced plastic shell is manufactured using a modern injection process. The standard color is white – other shades can be easily painted at the factory upon request. The smooth surface of the roof is ideal for attaching the separately available solar panels without significantly increasing the overall height of your vehicle. The foam core inside the roof shell provides insulation, while the soft crash-velour on the interior creates a cozy atmosphere in the sleeping area.

Fabric Bellows and Windows

The fabric bellows are made of breathable cotton fabric and feature two side windows and one front window. Ventilation is ensured by the left and front windows, which are equipped with mosquito nets to prevent unwelcome insects from entering. Those who are not afraid of insects can fully open the front window.

Sleeping Area

The mattress in the sleeping area is made of high-quality foam and rests on a sleeping board. For added comfort, the board is equipped with disc springs, ensuring optimal ventilation and a warm bed in winter for vehicles with auxiliary heating. The thick mattress padding further enhances sleeping comfort. The access hatch is covered with fabric or synthetic leather. The high lifting struts allow for sleeping with the head facing either direction, and they also provide extra space for the feet. When the sleeping area is folded up, you can stand comfortably upright inside the vehicle.

Locking System

The roof is equipped with the proven Southco locking system. These practical rotary latches feature an integrated safety strap to ensure secure roof closure. When closing the roof shell, a convenient folding mechanism automatically pulls the fabric bellows inward, preventing them from getting caught between the body and the roof.
