To turn the Ford Transit Custom with short wheelbase into the perfect leisure vehicle, the SCA 124 roof offers maximum lying comfort on the slatted frame and disc springs as well as plenty of additional space thanks to the extra-high pop-up scissors.
Roof shell
The fiberglass plastic shell of SCA roofs is manufactured using the modern injection process. The standard color is white - other colors can be supplied ex works on request. The smooth surface of the roof is ideal for attaching flexible solar modules without significantly increasing the overall height of the vehicle. The foam core inside the roof shell has an insulating effect. The soft crumpled velour on the inside of the roof creates a cozy atmosphere in the reclining area.
Fabric bellows and window
The fabric bellows is made of breathable cotton fabric and has two side and one front window. Sufficient ventilation is guaranteed by the left and front windows, which have fly screens to prevent unwanted mosquitoes from entering. The front window can be opened completely.
Lying surface
The mattress of the mattress base is made of high-quality foam and rests on a slatted frame. This is equipped with disc springs for greater comfort when sleeping. These also ensure the best possible ventilation and a warm bed in winter in vehicles with auxiliary heating. The upholstery of the mattress is thicker and therefore increases the comfort. The access hatch is closed with a fabric or imitation leather lining. The high support scissors make it possible to sleep with the head both in and against the direction of travel. The feet also enjoy more space. If you fold the bed upwards, you can stand upright comfortably in the vehicle.
Locking system
The roof is equipped with a modern Southco locking system. With these practical twist locks, an integrated safety strap ensures optimum locking of the roof. When the roof shell is closed, a practical folding mechanism automatically pulls the fabric bellows inwards so that it cannot become trapped between the body and the roof shell.
