Safety Instructions – Gas Springs
Gas springs are filled with high internal pressure and must not be opened, heated, or mechanically altered. Improper handling may result in injury or material damage.
Please observe the following safety instructions:
• Never open, heat, or pierce the gas spring.
• Installation only in the intended position and by qualified personnel.
• Gas springs are not designed to serve as safety or locking elements.
• The piston rod must not be subjected to side or bending loads.
• Gas springs must not be used as end stops or mechanical limiters.
• Install with the piston rod facing downwards whenever possible to ensure proper lubrication and function.
• Check the gas spring for visible damage before installation – do not use damaged components.
• Observe the temperature range: –20 °C to +80 °C (unless otherwise specified).
• Dispose of gas springs only in a depressurized state and in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
• Modifications or special applications only after consultation with the manufacturer or supplier.
The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that gas springs are used only in technically suitable applications and that these instructions are followed.
