As we take individual wishes into account when manufacturing your roof (e.g. when choosing the color), it takes some time to provide it. After your request, we will contact you with an offer and a proposed date for the installation of your roof. The waiting time depends on the current capacity utilization of our workshop.

The times that are scheduled for the installation at our installation partners are individual. You should allow 4 to 5 working days for the installation and TÜV approval of your pop-top roof or high roof in our SCA service workshop in Königsbronn. After that, your first adventure in a van with a pop-top roof can begin.

We have put together a small checklist for you to ensure that everything goes smoothly with your roof structure:

• How do you plan to get there? Please make sure that your vehicle is with us in Königsbronn by 8 a.m. on Monday (or 4 p.m. on the preceding Friday).
• Van cleared out? Please clear out your van completely, including fixtures such as furniture, cupboards, beds, retrofitted seats and, of course, all loose items.
• Bodies removed? Please remove solar panels, luggage racks, LED bars or similar from the roof of your van.
• Partition wall removed? Please ensure that the passage between the cab and the cargo area is free of obstacles.
• Vehicle headliner checked? Please make sure that your headliner is in standard condition or - even better - has already been removed.
• Van washed? Please make sure that the outside of your vehicle is clean.

Yes, the number or type of doors does not stand in the way of your next camping adventure with an SCA roof.

In principle, yes, but unfortunately the headliner cannot be completely retained with a roof structure: The central air vents are omitted. However, the basic air conditioning function is retained thanks to simple air outlets in the rear of the vehicle.

Such a conversion means a considerable intervention in the statics of the vehicle and should be carried out professionally by a team of experts. In the end, the TÜV will also approve the result.

Depending on the speed, you may have to reckon with the audible air currents typical of retractable roofs, but don't worry: they are so quiet that they don't restrict your conversation or radio listening.

In light gusts of wind, there is no need to take any action; in stronger gusts of wind, we recommend positioning the vehicle along the wind direction if possible in order to keep the area of attack as small as possible. Our roofs have been tested at wind force 6, and every pop-up roof we install is also approved by TÜV. In strong storms (from wind force 7 or a wind speed of 50 km/h), the roof should be closed to eliminate all risks.

There are no general restrictions on the use of a luggage rack for bicycles etc. mounted on the tailgate. However, to avoid a collision between luggage and the edge of the roof, the roof should only be opened or closed when the tailgate is closed.

Ja, our top rails serve as rain gutters and wind deflectors as well as piping rails for awnings or awnings and can also be fitted to the vehicle with an SCA pop-up roof already retrofitted. We offer various awnings suitable for many vehicles in our store.

In der Regel leider nicht. Die meisten Markisen für Camper ohne Aufstelldach sind auf dem Dach montiert. Mit Aufstelldach müssen wir die Markise vorn anbringen. Bei deiner alten Markise passt dann der Winkel des Auszugs nicht mehr. Für fast alle Modelle bieten wir inzwischen Markisen an. Bei einigen ist die Montage von Leisten nötig. Wir haben dafür Multirails bzw. Brandrup-Schienen im Angebot.

Alle Liegeeinheiten unserer Dächer tragen mindestens 120 kg, bei einigen Modellen kann die Einheit sogar mit bis zu 200 kg belastet werden./p>

Für den Einsatz eines an der Heckklappe montierten Gepäckträgers für Fahrräder etc. gibt es keine generellen Einschränkungen. Um jedoch eine Kollision von Gepäck und Dachkante zu vermeiden, sollte das Dach nur geöffnet oder geschlossen werden, wenn die Heckklappe geschlossen ist.

Für die Installation eines Dachträgers ist zunächst die Montage eines Satzes C-Schienen notwendig. Bei den Dächern kleinerer Vans ist das meist problemlos möglich – bei Kastenwägen leider nicht. Ausgerüstet werden kann dann z.B. ein Dachgepäckträger. Die Dachlast darf bei geschlossenem Dach übrigens 50 kg nicht überschreiten, vor dem Aufstellen muss die Last aus Sicherheitsgründen vom Dachträger entfernt werden. Bitte beachte die vom Hersteller vorgegebene maximale dynamische Dachlast, um Sicherheit und Gesetzeskonformität zu gewährleisten. Stelle bei Gebrauch sicher, dass diese nicht überschritten wird.

Meistens nicht, es gibt bei geschlossenem Dach je nach Modell unterschiedliche Begrenzungen hinsichtlich der Matratzenstärke. Wir achten bei der Entwicklung und den Komponenten bereits auf die beste Kombination aus Schlafkomfort und Aufbauhöhe. Die bei uns angebotenen Matratzen sind in den angegebenen Dächern verwendbar.

The roof shell of our pop-up roofs is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) and foamed inserts for insulation. These materials offer a good balance between weight, stability and weather resistance. The outside is protected by a white gelcoat top layer, which can also be painted in the color of your choice ex works.

The textile for our fabric bellows is made of water-repellent cotton or polyester fabric, depending on the model. Details on materials, functions and dimensions can be found on the respective product page.

The standard color of the roof shell is white for all roof models. On request, we can paint your roof in the color of your vehicle or in another color of your choice for an additional charge.

The fabric bellows is only available in the color variant shown.

The installation type is predefined for each roof. However, we offer different roofs and correspondingly different installation types for many vehicles. You can use the roof finder to easily find out which installation types are available for your van.

Unfortunately, no SCA roof is available for the Volkswagen T3.

We recommend cleaning and impregnating the fabric bellows once a year. As an additional measure against the penetration of moisture, the seams of the fabric bellows should also be sealed regularly.

We offer a range of care products perfectly tailored to our roofs: Use the fabric bellows and fabric cleaner to remove dirt, the waterproofing spray and seam sealer to keep the fabric bellows water-repellent, the lubricant spray to keep zippers supple and the glycerine stick to ensure that the rubber seal running around your roof can optimally protect your vehicle interior for many years to come.

If your fabric bellows are soiled or damaged by moisture, you can easily restore them to their original beauty with our SCA care products: Our fabric bellows and fabric cleaner also removes coarser soiling. With impregnation spray and seam sealant, you can then make the fabric bellows resistant to moisture and dirt deposits again.

Yes, the upholstery cover can be washed. To ensure that the cover retains its shape and size, we recommend not exceeding the maximum temperature of 30 °C. If the cover or upholstery is irrevocably soiled or damaged, a suitable bed upholstery set can be purchased for all roofs from our accessories store.

The coating on the roof shell is extremely robust and can be maintained, cleaned and polished using standard paint cleaning and care products. You can also easily drive your SCA roof through the nearest car wash ...

Our pop-top roofs (even with solar panel) are so flat that the overall height of the vehicle does not increase significantly and usually remains under 2 m. This means that your van with pop-up roof remains roadworthy, as neither brushes nor soap can damage the roof shell.

First check whether the fabric bellows is unusually tight at the point in question. In the case of fabric bellows with double piping, you can relieve the tension by pulling slightly if necessary. Alternatively, lowering the roof slightly can help to reduce the tension.

To ensure that zippers are easy to operate all year round, we recommend regular use of our lubricant spray for plastic and metal parts.

The repair of the shell of a pop-up roof should always be carried out by a specialist company. These specialists have the necessary know-how and equipment to repair damage to the roof shell properly and safely. SCA offers a network of authorized workshop partners who specialize in the repair and maintenance of SCA products. Worn insect screens can be repaired to a certain extent - however, if there are larger tears or holes, the fabric bellows must be replaced. To clarify your individual case, please contact one of our partners in your area or contact SCA Service directly.

LWenn du etwas handwerklich geschickt bist, kannst du die Gasfedern selbst tauschen. Für alle Federn bieten wir Ersatz im Shop an. Beachte, dass immer beide Federn getauscht werden müssen, um keine asymetrischen Kräfte zu erzeugen, die sich auf die Schale und den Rahmen auswirken können. Daher verkaufen wir die Federn immer im 2er-Set. Ein Gasfedertausch ist aber auch in der Werkstatt unserer Partner oder bei uns in Königsbronn möglich.

Risse oder Löcher im Textilgewebe bis zu einer Größe von ca. 10 × 6 cm können mit unserem Stoffbalg-Reparaturset ausgebessert werden. Falls der Austausch des gesamten Stoffbalgs unvermeidbar ist, wende dich bitte an einen unserer Partner. Wenn du einen Doppelkederstoffbalg hast, und etwas handwerklich geschickt bist, kannst du ihn auch hier im Shop bestellen und selbst tauschen. Beachte, dass nicht alle Dächer des selben Dachtyps Doppelkeder haben, je nach Baujahr. Melde dich einfach bei Fragen.
