The SCA 252 ePa – From a sleeping roof to a living space

With the parallel pop-up roof, SCA takes the concept of the classic pop-up roof a step further. The roof shell rises evenly, creating additional usable space across almost the entire roof area.

This improves comfort in the roof area, both while relaxing and sleeping.
The additional space transforms everyday life in the camper: a sleeping area becomes a living space.

Comfort starts with ease of operation

The electric parallel lifting mechanism is operated using a switch or remote control. The roof opens and closes evenly and conveniently – regardless of the user’s height and without any physical effort.

One fabric bellows, many possibilities

The new membrane fabric bellows provides reliable protection in all weather conditions. Large windows offer panoramic views and improve ventilation. Thanks to the integrated mosquito net, the roof space remains comfortable even on warm summer evenings.

Proven technology, a new generation of roofs

The new parallel pop-up roof combines proven SCA technology with a new approach to using space. Developed for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Built to the same quality standards that SCA has applied to its pop-up roofs for many years.

Why choose an SCA pop-up roof?

SCA has been developing vehicle-specific pop-up and high roofs for more than 35 years. Our expertise ranges from precision-fit designs and well-engineered operating and sleeping solutions to the long-term availability of accessories and spare parts.

The SCA 252 ePa follows the same principle: it combines the proven roof concept of the SCA 252 with a new electric parallel lifting mechanism.

And why choose a roof with parallel lifting?

The fully parallel opening provides a uniform height across the entire sleeping area. This makes the roof space more versatile – whether sleeping in either direction or reading, relaxing and enjoying the view during the day.

Large windows provide panoramic views, fresh air and cross-ventilation. The roof opens and closes conveniently using a switch or remote control.

Frequently asked questions about the SCA 252 ePa

Which vehicle is the SCA 252 ePa designed for?

The SCA 252 ePa was developed for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with an H2 roof.

How does the SCA 252 ePa differ from a conventional pop-up roof?

The SCA 252 ePa opens fully parallel. This provides a uniform height across the entire sleeping area, whereas a conventional pop-up roof slopes down towards one end of the bed.

What are the advantages of the parallel lifting mechanism?

You can sleep in either direction, as headroom and legroom are maintained at both ends of the bed. During the day, the roof space can also be used for reading, relaxing, playing or enjoying the view.

How is the roof opened and closed?

Two electrically powered scissor mechanisms raise and lower the roof in parallel. The roof is operated using a switch in the access opening or the supplied remote control. In the event of a power or drive failure, the roof remains in its current position.

How is the sleeping area equipped?

The SCA 252 ePa provides two sleeping berths and is equipped with a cold-foam mattress and a Froli bed suspension system. The bed dimensions are identical to those of the SCA 252.

How is the roof space ventilated?

Large windows in the fabric bellows provide fresh air and cross-ventilation, while integrated mosquito nets keep insects out.

When will the SCA 252 ePa be available?

The SCA 252 ePa is available to order from the date of the product announcement. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in October 2026.
