For those who don't want to unintentionally shower when opening the doors or windows of their VW T5 and T6 in the rain, the Top-Rail from the manufacturer Brandrup not only provides protection from getting wet but also serves as a practical awning rail for their bus.
An SCA pop-up roof enhances the holiday with standing height inside the vehicle and additional sleeping places – but the altered shape of the van roof also increases the likelihood of rainwater entering the interior through the open doors. For those who fear unwanted showers, rest assured: This danger can easily be avoided by installing rain gutters. The gutter directs the water past the doors, side and driver's cab windows, allowing it to flow over the windshield or to the rear – even with an erected awning or mounted awning. So, even in the rain, you can step out and stay dry.
To simply refer to the Top-Rail as a "rain gutter" would not do justice to this multifunctional product. In addition to its water-diverting function, the Top-Rail can conveniently be used to attach awning clamps or as an awning rail for sun sails and awnings – ensuring a secure hold.
The Top-Rail not only enhances the comfort of the vehicle when stationary but also when driving. When attached on both sides, it significantly reduces the often bothersome wind noise at higher speeds. This makes the journey to the holiday destination more relaxed, whether it's raining or dry.
The Top-Rail can generally be installed by oneself. However, those who choose to have it installed by the SCA converter or the SCA service garage will receive two years of warranty in addition to professional installation – and the assurance that the next holiday won't be a washout.
