The pop-up roofs are all equipped with a recess for attaching a C-rail, which allows a luggage rack to be easily mounted and removed.
Roof Rack Mounting
The roof shells of SCA pop-up roofs generally have a recess for the optional installation of a C-rail. This allows a roof load carrier to be mounted on the camper van. The corresponding carriers can be easily attached and quickly removed. This makes transporting roof boxes, surfboards, kayaks, and more effortless—ensuring a perfect active vacation.
Installation
Skilled DIY enthusiasts can install the C-rail themselves. However, those who choose to have it installed by an SCA partner or at the SCA service workshop will not only benefit from professional installation but also receive a two-year warranty.
Safety
No need to worry about safety when traveling with a roof rack: The C-rail, along with the appropriate roof rack setup, has successfully passed a City Crash Test conducted by TÜV. With a maximum weight of 50 kg (allowing for an additional payload of approximately 30 kg) and compliance with the recommended speed limit of 130 km/h, the construction remained completely intact—SCA roofs with C-rails and roof racks deliver on their promises.
Please observe the manufacturer’s specified maximum dynamic roof load to ensure safety and legal compliance. Always ensure that this limit is not exceeded when in use.
