Flat Construction
With only four millimeters, the module construction of the solar panel, including the extra-flat glued and screwed cable outlet with strain relief, is particularly low. As a result, the height of the vehicle only increases slightly. Most camper vans remain under two meters despite the attached solar module, so there are no problems when driving into underground garages or car washes.
Light Cells
Our solar system consists of 43 crystalline solar cells. These are particularly light-sensitive and therefore very efficient with an efficiency of more than 23 percent, even in diffuse light or in low-light months. Therefore, even during autumn or winter travels, the motorhome is easily supplied with electricity.
Weather Resistance
The solar panel is specifically designed to withstand various weather conditions and is therefore ideally suited for camping. Whether rainwater floods or sea saltwater – the solar modules are well prepared against them with a Teflon-like protective film on the front and back and an additional embedding in an EVA film. Of course, cable outlets and mounting holes also withstand water easily. The connection cables are UV and ozone resistant. The carrier plate is made of aluminum, double-layer powder-coated, and rustproof.
Installation
The installation of the solar panel on a pop-up roof or high roof can generally be done by those who are handy. However, those who choose to have it installed by the SCA converter or the SCA service garage will not only receive professional installation, but also two years of warranty.
Safety
The module was developed for permanent use in water and on land. All materials used also withstand extreme heat and high humidity. Due to its robust and impact-resistant construction – no glass is used – the solar module is perfectly suited for mounting on our pop-up roofs. The rustproof, double-layer powder-coated aluminum sandwich carrier plate guarantees stability and breakage resistance, each module has been individually tested for functionality, weather resistance, and durability.
